Food Waste
Giving companies the tools to fight waste
Whether it is cutting down plastic waste, tracing DNA to stop food fraud or reducing water consumption to slow the effects of climate change, our supply chains are undergoing a high-tech revolution. Consumers expect transparency and traceability to know that what they buy has been produced sustainably, but that presents challenges in industries, like food and drink, where supply chains are often complex.
But one company is using the power of data to show that it makes good business sense to become more sustainable. In collaboration with the Fight Food Waste Cooperative Research Centre in Australia, Selerant has come up with a cloud-based software tool to help companies figure out what changes to make in their product’s life cycle to reduce waste and lower its environmental impact.
